Richard B. Cheney, a distinguished public servant and businessman, is the vice-president. Cheney is a recognizable figure in Washington for many years. George W. Bush was the fourth president to Cheney, who he served. Bush picked Cheney as his vice presidential running mate in July 2000 citing Cheney's expertise and wisdom. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of a President, he served in Congress as well as Secretary of Defense. He's a man of integrity and is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney claims he's an honest and discreet adviser for Bush within his administration. Cheney declared that after he was accepted as the Republican nomination to vice-president Cheney was looking forward to being a part of a president who would work across political lines to achieve goals and will work with his opponents in good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941 within Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he emigrated together with family members from Nebraska to Casper located in western region of Wyoming, where his father was the director of the district for soil conservation in Casper in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
