Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 in the Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become the Romanian gymnastics coach. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. In her 1972 first international meet that was an preolympics junior event that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won named the all-around Junior Champion. Her debut as a senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four gold medals and one silver. The first female to ever successfully complete reverse double saltos when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment as a teenager. She began her professional career by performing figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating shows.
